Words can't express how super proud I am of my little munchkin right now. My boy is reading! I break out in a smile just thinking about it. Seeing him sit there with his little book, pronouncing words just fills my heart over and over again. This is differently a high moment. His book of choice right now is Hop on Pop, but I know pretty soon he will be pulling out others from his Dr Seuss collection.
That's great! I've started to set aside a reading time with my son where we don't necessarily have to read the same book together but its just a quiet time in the house (well as quiet as i can get it with my other little one around) where he'll read his book and ill read mine or a magazine or something.
ReplyDeleteQuiet time is so necessary...This is one thing I've always said I would do on the weekends, a few hours for music and a few hours for reading.
